Welcome to Croft House Holidays

Escape to the peaceful rural setting of Applethwaite - just over a mile from the hustle and bustle of Keswick with all its facilities...but a world away! Applethwaite village nestles at the foot of Skiddaw which rises to over 3000 feet above it. The village is quiet and unspoilt and has a magnificent outlook across to Borrowdale and the north-western fells.




We can offer five self catering properties all with spectacular views. Two properties - Croftside and Croft Corner - are at Croft House set surrounded by fields just outside Applethwaite.

Lords Seat and garden

Two other properties - Upper House and Lower House - together make up a property called Lord's Seat located within Applethwaite itself. As the names imply, Upper House is located over Lower House. The two properties share the garden although each has a private sitting out area within the garden. The photo on the left of Lords Seat shows the shared garden with the terrace for Lower House and the raised decking for Upper House.


Croft Head Farm is a new addition to our portfolio of holiday properties. It is a spacious detached barn conversion on the outskirts of Applethwaite. It has its own garden with slate paved terrace.
